1:130 Jolly Roger Series: Satisfaction of Capt. Morgan
Item No: HL219

Description

Capt. Henry Morgan was a buccaneer (the forerunners of pirates)
from the mid to late 1600’s. The most famous of these
adventurers, Morgan was a complex and talented man; a man of
military training and the son of a Welsh landowner. He left the
service of Oliver Cromwell’s expeditionary force (they captured
Jamaica for England) and apprenticed as a buccaneer in the West
Indies. His military skill and natural cunning soon made him a
successful and wealthy buccaneer. He became so powerful in the
Caribbean that he was knighted and received influential political
appointments, including Lt. Governor of Jamaica. His flagship
was a French vessel, which he named the Satisfaction.
